Jane Leslie Dalton is a partner at Duane Morris LLP has been practicing law there for more than thirty-five years. In recent years the focus of her practice has been representation of employers in the areas of employment discrimination and personnel management, counseling on a wide range of issues such as discrimination and best practices and litigating the defense of employment claims and representation of educational institutions with respect to employment issues, student and faculty matters, policies and procedures and FERPA and CLERY Act compliance.
- Jane has successfully defended dozens of employment class, collective and individual claims for colleges, universities, manufacturers, service providers and newspaper publishers. Many of these cases were settled or dismissed prior to trial and some were tried to defense verdicts. She has also served as mediator or neutral in claims involving employment agreements and employment law matters.
- Ms. Dalton was the first woman admitted to partnership in the firm. She has held numerous positions of leadership. She is a former Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, a former chair of the Association's Board of Governors, a former co-chair of its Women in the Profession Committee and chair or co-chair of many other committees. She served as Chair of the Police Advisory Commission for many years and as President and a member of many boards.
